Meet the Team Behind the Mission
At Libby’s Legacy, our team is united by a shared commitment to serving individuals and families facing breast cancer with compassion, respect, and unwavering support.
We are more than staff — we are advocates, navigators, and partners in care. Each member of our team brings unique experience, professional expertise, and a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face.
Together, we work every day to ensure that every person who turns to us feels heard, supported, and never has to navigate the breast cancer journey alone.
Robin Maynard-Harris, CCSI, EMT-P
Founder and Director of Survivorship
Robin Maynard-Harris, CCSI, EMT-P
Founder and Director of Survivorship
Robin began her public service career in 1995, serving the citizens of Orange County as both a Paramedic and Crime Scene Investigator. Following the loss of her mother, Libby, to breast cancer in 2006, Robin felt called to continue saving lives in a new way. In 2007, she founded Libby’s Legacy to ensure that individuals facing breast cancer would have access to screening, education, and compassionate support. She continued working full time as a Crime Scene Investigator while building the foundation, ultimately making the courageous decision in 2009 to leave her career and dedicate herself fully to the organization in her mother’s honor.
Under Robin’s leadership, Libby’s Legacy has grown from a grassroots effort into a nationally recognized nonprofit serving thousands of individuals each year. She has developed and expanded signature initiatives including Waterwell Farms, Pink Ribbon Gardens, Hooked on Hope, and the Mammogram Access Project, each built on strong community partnerships and measurable outcomes that improve access to care and survivorship support.
Robin has received numerous honors recognizing her leadership and service, including Hometown Hero, the Non-Profit Leadership Award from the Women’s Executive Council, Congressional recognition during Women’s History Month, Public Citizen of the Year from the National Association of Social Workers, and Orange County Citizen of the Year in 2018, among many others.
Robin remains deeply committed to ensuring that every individual facing breast cancer receives the care, support, and advocacy they deserve, and she continues to lead with the same compassion, courage, and determination that inspired the founding of Libby’s Legacy.
